My Cipher Keeps Movin…

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to take a trip up to Jersey to participate in Mixology, an open mic held in Montclair. You should know by now that I LOVE a good open mic (as I’ve been spoiled by Wednesday Night Verses here in D.C.), so it’s always interesting and cool to see how other folks get down. Unfortunately, I don’t have any pics or vids from the actual show (which was CRAZY…in a good way), but I DID get to link up with CHD:WCK!,an artist whose art I paired with the poetry of K. Desiree on Word[Play] for National Poetry and Jazz Month. A random painting cipher at Mixology led to a photo sesh in the park the next day. Here are a few pics. I would like to remind you that I am not a fan of being in FRONT of the camera, but I was happy to be a part of these. They turned out great.
